  BERKEBILE
  
  Margaret Pearl Berkebile, 86, Stoystown RD 2, died Nov. 23, 1983, at
  Windber Hospital.  She was born Nov. 29, 1896, in Bedford County, daughter
  of James and Susanna (Comp) Hochard.  She was preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Orie: daughters, Geneive Mae and Marguerite; grandson, David
  Valentine; and sister, Janet Burkett.  She is survived by daughters, Violet
  Berkebile, Stoystown RD 1; Mrs. William (Janet) Valentine, Stoystown RD 2;
  son-in-law, Edward Shaulis, Stoystown RD 3; three grandchildren; one
  great-granddaughter; and one great-great-granddaughter.  She was a sister
  of Mrs. Russell (Florence) Allison, Alum/Bank; McCall, and Mrs. Russell
  (Kathleen) Claar, both of Claysburg; and Mrs. Elizabeth Ernest, East
  Freedom.  She was a lifelong Shade Township farmer.  Family received
  friends Thursday evening and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held
  at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ronald C. Long officiating.  Interment, Odd
  Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
