  BERKEBILE
  
  Orie C. Berkebile, 93, Central City RD 1, died Jan. 6, 1987, at Maple
  Mountain Manor, Berlin.  Born Aug. 2, 1893, in Shade Township, son of James
  E. and Elizabeth (Lambert) Berkebile.  Preceded in death by parents; wife,
  the former Gertrude Stull; son, Harold; and infant granddaughter.  Survived
  by these children:  Maurice, married to former Irma Schrock, Central City RD
  1; Katherine Groff, St. Louis, Mo.; Donald, married to former Evelyn Jacobs,
  Hesperia, Calif.; and Mrs. Harry (Theodosia) Brant, Berlin RD 1; nine
  grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Last survivor of immediate
  family.  Shade Township school teacher and principal for 41 years, Civic
  worker and historian.  Member of Shade Lutheran Church for 44 years. 
  Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the
  Revs. Ed and Brenda Fritz officiating.  Interment, McGregor Cemetery,
  Cairnbrook.
