  BERKEBILE
  
    The Rev. Dr. Peter John Berkebile Sr., 46, Whistler Road, Stoystown, died
  April 18, 1998, at Hershey Medical Center.  Born Sept. 15, 1951 in Somerset,
  Son of Charles "Pete" and Martha (Maccone) Berkebile.  Preceded in death by
  parents and sister, Patsy.  Survived by wife of 21 years the former
  Kathleen Dice; these children, Peter Jr., Kristi and Megan, all at home;
  and mother and father-in-law, Betty and Harvey Dice, North Huntingdon. 
  Minister since 1976, serving various churches in Pennsylvania, New Mexico,
  Texas and Georgia.  member of Mandata Evangelical Congregational Church,
  Mandata, Pa., and Grand Falls, Texas Masonic Lodge; Major in the Texas
  State Guard.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Viewing at Johnstown Evangelical Congregational
  Church, Golde Street, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.,
  Wednesday.  Rev. Christopher Lewis officiating.  Interment, Ligonier Valley
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer
  Society or to the Johnstown Evangelical Congregational Church at 602 Golde
  Street, Johnstown., 15902.
