  BERKEBILE
  
  Russell C. Berkebile, 87, Stoystown, died Sept. 2, 1975 at the Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept., 8 1887 in Shade Township a son of Doman
  and Clara (Buhan) Berkebile.  Preceded in death by parents and son Lloyd,
  two brothers; Earl and Orville, and two sisters; Gertrude and Mary. 
  Survived by his widow, former Jennie Koontz and the following children: 
  Elbert, married to former Mae Dinning, Stoystown, RD 2 and Robert, married
  to former Frieda Specht of Johnstown; Mrs. Vincent (Laura) Blasco of
  Stoystown; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs.
  Charles (Elva) Dietrich of Railway, N.J.; Mrs. Gomer (Ruth) Williams of
  Kantner.  A retired coal miner, he was a member of the Grace Lutheran
  church in Stoystown and UMWA.  Death ends a marriage union of 66 years. 
  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Charles
  R. Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown RD 2 and Joseph, Cleveland, Ohio; three
  grandsons and three great-grandsons.  Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic
  Church, Boswell.  Friends received after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph G.
  Hoffman funeral Home, 409 main St., Boswell where Rosary-Wake service will
  be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday.  Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Saturday
  at St. Stanislaus Church, Boswell with the Rev. James Elliott
  officiating.  Interment, Church Cemetery, where services will be conducted
  at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Herbert G. Hohman officiating.  Interment, Odd
  Fellows Cemetery in Stoystown.
