  BERKEBILE
  
    William Steward Berkebile, 79, of Kantner died Feb. 22, 2001 at West Penn
  Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Aug. 16, 1921 in Kantner, son of the late
  Steward and Nora (Pletcher) Berkebile.  Survived by his wife of 58 years
  the former Ethel Muzzie, and these children:  Sheila Flick, Somerset. 
  Arthur married to the former Sandy Evanchesky, Central city, and Telford,
  Kantner.  Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Brother of: 
  Ceylon and Ralph, both of Stoystown; Elma Louise Pugh, Friedens; and
  Victor, Allentown.  Decorated World War II Army veteran.  Retired from
  Oak's Poultry Co. and a former coal miner.  Member of Kantner Assembly of
  God, Pa. Sheriff's Association, and American Bowling Congress.  Family will
  receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.  Rev. Marty
  Critchfield officiating.  Interment Otterbein Cemetery, Wilbur.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to the American Heart Assoc., 400 Luray Ave.,
  Johnstown, Pa.  15904-2538.
