Born Aug. 16, 1921 in Kantner, son of the late Steward and Nora (Pletcher) Berkebile. Survived by his wife of 58 years the former Ethel Muzzie, and these children: Sheila Flick, Somerset. Arthur married to the former Sandy Evanchesky, Central city, and Telford, Kantner. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of: Ceylon and Ralph, both of Stoystown; Elma Louise Pugh, Friedens; and Victor, Allentown. Decorated World War II Army veteran. Retired from Oak's Poultry Co. and a former coal miner. Member of Kantner Assembly of God, Pa. Sheriff's Association, and American Bowling Congress. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Marty Critchfield officiating.
