  Alice E. Berkey, 89, New Vienna, Ohio, formerly of Hooversville, died Dec. 26,
  2005, at the home of her daughter in New Vienna.
  
  Born May 12, 1916, in Johnstown, daughter of Shaff and Nora Rininger. Preceded
  in death by parents; husband, Edward L. Berkey Sr. (former president of
  Community National Bank and former vice-president of Johnstown Bank and Trust);
  sisters, Madaline Dickey and Mary Vaneer; brothers, Tom and Jack Adams; and
  daughter-in-law, Linda D. (Geary) Berkey. Survived by a daughter, Beverly Ann,
  married to John Coy, New Vienna, Ohio; son, Edward L. "Birdie" Berkey Jr. and
  fiancˇe, Carol A. Caola, Hooversville; grandchildren, Jill Ann, married to
  Jesse Boncoski; Todd Berkey; Tricia Saunders; Matt and Becky Coy; and
  great-grandchildren, Preston and Linda Boncoski; Jessica; Eric and Kaitlynn
  Napier; and Kassandra Saunders. Life member of the former Hooversville
  Christian Church. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, 976 Barn St., Hooversville, where service will be held at
  11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. James M. Hamilton officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A.
  Cemetery, Hooversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to
  Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, OH 45177.
