  BERKEY
  
    Carl R. Berkey, 51, of Cairnbrook died Jan. 26, 1998, at Meadow View
  Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born June 29, 1946, in Shade Township.  Son of
  Norman Berkey and Julia (Oravee) Berkey-Woke.  Preceded in death by parents
  and stepfather, Andrew Woke.  Survived by wife of 30 years, the former Linda
  Jo Danel; daughter Heather Jo Berkey, grandson Zachary James; foster
  daughters, Marlene, wife of David G. Newman, and Diana Elizabeth;
  grandchildren, Justin Gene and Patrick John.  Brother of Bert and wife
  Patty of Central City, Ronald and wife Dee, Massachusetts.  Also survived
  by nieces, nephews and a family in Heart, Soul and Spirit, the John Enos
  family of Ursina.  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
  the Mulcahy Funeral Home in Central City, where service will be held at 11
  a.m. Thursday, Rev. Mason officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.  In lieu
  of flowers, family asks donations be made to a local food pantry, fire
  department, or ambulance service in Carl's memory.
