CHARLES S. BERKEY

  Charles S. Berkey, Sr., aged 63, died suddenly, Monday, at his home in 
Gebharts, Milford Township.  He had been in poor health for several months, but 
was able to be about until Monday, when he succumbed to a heart attack.  
Surviving are his wife and these children:  John, Edward and Elsie, all of 
Glade; Charles, Jr., and Lloyd, both of Gebharts, and Catherine, at home.  He 
was a brother of William Berkey, of Somerset; Mrs. Ella Sewell, of Ohio, and 
Miss Sadie Berkey, of Somerset.  Funeral services were conducted Thursday 
morning at 10 o'clock in the Glade Lutheran Church by Rev. L. W. Gross.  
Interment in the New Centerville Cemetery, in charge of Mills & Mickey, Rockwood 
funeral directors.
