    Dorsey F. "Mike" Berkey, 82, Confluence, died April 8, 2006, at the home
  of his daughter, in Morgantown, W.Va. Born Feb. 16, 1924, in Confluence, a
  son of the late Lemon and Violet (Snyder) Berkey. Also preceded in death by
  a brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Wild) Berkey;
  daughter Kathleen Artice and her husband, Clark, Morgantown; grandsons,
  Michael and Christopher Artice; one great-grandson, three step
  great-grandsons, and one step great-granddaughter; sisters, Bertha Holt and
  Sara Zerfoss, both of Somerset; Isabelle "Patty" Gowarty, Kingwood W.Va. and
  a brother, Paul Berkey, Berlin. Mr. Berkey was a U.S. Army veteran of World
  War II. A member of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and First Fruits Ministries,
  Confluence. He retired from Joy Manufacturing Company of Solon, Ohio.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home
  in Confluence, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Timothy
  Gosnell officiating. Interment, Ursina Cemetery.
