ELIZA BERKEY

  Mrs. Eliza Berkey, aged 79, widow of Samuel Berkey, died Monday night at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Lowery, of Stonycreek Township, following an 
illness of several weeks of a complication of diseases.  Her husband passed away 
17 years ago.  Surviving are two children - Mrs. Lowery, with whom she resided, 
and Mrs. Harry Spangler, of Akron, O.  The body was prepared for burial by J. N. 
Johnson & Son, undertakers, of Berlin.  Funeral services were conducted Thursday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Glade Lutheran Church.  Rev. C. P. Bastian, of 
Berlin, officiated.  Interment in the church cemetery.
