  Mrs. Emma Jane Berkey, 79, of 305 Ohio St., Boswell died July 1, 1976 at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 25, 1897 in Conemaugh Twp.,
  Somerset County.  A daughter of James O. and Kate (Woods) Spory.  Preceded
  in death by parents, husband, Jesse J. Berkey who died in 1961; two
  brothers; two sisters and an infant daughter, Evelyn Irene.  Survived by a
  daughter, Freda V. at home.  Sister of Charles, Hollsopple RD 2; Mrs.
  Lizzie Miller, Johnstown RD 4; Mrs. Sadie Blough and James W., both of
  Davidsville.  former member of St. James Lutheran Church, Jenner Twp.. 
  Friends were received Thursday evening and will be received from 2 - 4 and
  7 - 9 p.m. Friday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell where services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday.  The Rev. Jesse E.
  Wolf officiating.  Interment, St. James Cemetery.
