  J. EDWARD BERKEY
  
    J. Edward Berkey, 34, of Berlin RD 1, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 24,
  1972.  Born Sept. 11, 1938, in Somerset County, he was a son of Clarence
  and Marion (Dixon) Berkey.
    Surviving are his parents of Berlin RD 1; his wife, the former Virginia
  Sarver; and four children, Clark, Jay, Jodi and Carla, all at home.  He was
  preceded in death by a sister, Mary.
    He was a member of Casebeer Lutheran Church, Teamster Local 800 and a
  driver for Standard Motor Freight of Irwin.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon in Wilbur D. Miller Funeral
  Home, Somerset, with Rev. Robert Clark officiating.  Interment in Casebeer
  Cemetery.
