  LEVI MILLER BERKEY
  
  Levi Miller Berkey, 91, Somerset, died Nov. 27, 2004, at Siemons Lakeview Manor 
  Estate, Somerset.  Born June 30, 1913, in Lincoln Township, a son of Samuel 
  Milton and Valerie Ann (Miller) Berkey.  Preceded in death by parents; son, John 
  Andrew Berkey; brothers, Cloyd, Telford and Charles Berkey; and sister Margaret 
  Shaffer.  Survived by wife, the former Mildred Jane (Walker) to whom he was 
  married 65 years; children, Chester Lee "Chet" Berkey, married to the former 
  Kathryn Trnka, Eau Claire, Wis., and Mrs. William J. (Judith Ann) Swartzmiller, 
  Mansfield, Ohio; grandsons: Christopher Lee Berkey, Benjamin Berkey, Chad A., 
  Joseph and Scott Swartzmiller; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cory, Sofie and 
  Jacob.  Brother of Mrs. Irene Barnett, Mrs. Anna Maurer and Harold Berkey, all of 
  Somerset.  A 1934 graduate of Somerset High School. Worked as a self-employed 
  farmer until retirement.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Pa.  
  Farmers Association.  No viewing or visitation.  Memorial service will be 
  conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 
  Somerset.  The Rev. Dr. Herbert Hicks, officiating.  Interment, Edie Cemetery.
