    Linda Diane Berkey, 40, Stoystown RD 2, died May 29, 1989, at Hospital of
  University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.  Born May 5, 1949 in Somerset,
  daughter of the late Herbert J. and Ersula (Schrock) Geary.  Survived by
  her husband, Edward "Birdie" Berkey Jr., whom she married May 4, 1968, and
  children Jill and Todd, both at home.  Sister of Mrs. Telford (Juanita)
  Hagans, Stoystown RD 2; Mrs. Kazimirz (Jane) Chlebda, Essex, Md.; Mrs. Paul
  (Joy) Sigmund, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Bud (Beverly) McMahon, Lavonia, Mich.;
  Herbert J. Jr., married to Sara Jacobs, Waldorf, Md.; John W., married to
  the former Sandy Lacy, Somerset; and William G., married to the former
  Katherine Johnson, Friedens RD 1.  She was a caseworker for the Department
  of Welfare, Johnstown, and worked with her husband at Berkey Auto Body,
  Hooversville, as a notary public.  She was a member of Otterbein United
  Methodist Church.  Family will receive friends 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville.  Viewing at Otterbein from 9 a.m. until
  services at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the Revs. Ed and Brenda Fritz
  officiating.  Interment, POS of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
