    Linda L. Berkey, 56, of New Centerville, died Sept. 28, 1999 at her
  home.  Born July 15, 1943 in Somerset.  Daughter of Betty (Schilling)
  Knupp-Lewis of Somerset.  Preceded in death by father and brother, Richard
  Knupp.  Also survived by husband of 37 years, John Ellis Berkey; son,
  Michael E., married to the former Mary J. Hillegas, of Somerset;
  grandchildren:  Jessica Lynn, Amanda Marie and Michael J.  Sister of Donald
  Knupp of Tennessee; Shirley Sipe of Bedford; Carol Miller and William Knupp,
  both of Maryland; Beverly Buckham of Gray; Rose Holt of South Carolina, and
  Cheryl Knupp of Confluence.  Member of Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church, New
  Centerville.  Was home caregiver.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Services
  will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church, Rev.
  John Palko.  No viewing at church.  Interment, Union Cemetery, New
  Centerville.  Memorial contributions may be given to Messiah Lutheran
  Church, Rockwood, Pa, 15557 or "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave.,
  Somerset, Pa., 15501
