  BERKEY
  
    Luella Mae Berkey, 94, Jennerstown, died July 14, 1987, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 12, 1893, in Conemaugh Township, daughter
  of John and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Kaufman.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Harry; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; son 1st Lt. Donald, killed
  in action in World War II; sister Edna Miltenberger; and brothers, Leon, the
  Rev. Ralph and the Rev. Martin.  Survived by these children:  John, married
  to the former Thelma Humphries, Mount Holly, N.J.; Willard, married to the
  former Lucille Saylor, and Robert, married to the former Mary Lou Thomas,
  both of Jennerstown; Ruth, wife of Charles O'Connor, and Sara, wife of
  Joseph Klochak, both of Johnstown; 26 grandchildren and 29
  great-grandchildren.  Member of United Methodist Church, Jennerstown and
  Ladies Auxiliary to Jennerstown Volunteer Fire Company.  Friends received
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St.,
  Boswell.  Body will lie in state from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10
  a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Jennerstown, the Rev. Donald
  E. Krestar officiating.  Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery. Jennerstown Fire
  Company Auxiliary service 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at funeral home. No viewing
  at church.
