  S. Pauline Berkey, 87, Somerset, died May 22, 2004, Somerset Hospital. Born
  March 31, 1917, in Somerset, a daughter of John Calvin and Hattie Mabel
  (Barron) Sayler.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles Edward Berkey
  who died Dec. 15, 2003; brothers, Roy, Cloyd B. and S. Glenn Sayler and
  sister, Ethel KimmeL. Survived by children: Mrs. Barbara J. Richmond,
  Somerset, Samuel S. Berkey, married to the former Karen Rehar, Somerset, John
  C. Berkey, Somerset, Mrs. Thomas G. (Gretchen V.) Baraniak, Somerset, George
  Berkey, married to the former Marilyn Rouse, Corning, N.Y., Mrs. Michael
  (Rebecca P.) Ludlow, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; grandchildren: Ashley
  Richmond, Hooversville, Lindi, Leanne and Ryan Berkey all of Somerset, Ann
  Baraniak, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Alison Baraniak, Clemson, S.C., Emily and Erin
  Berkey, both of New York, N.Y., Adam and Tyler Berkey, both of Corning, N.Y.;
  great-granddaughter, Ada Marie Skradski; and sisters, Mrs. Ruth Glessner,
  Berlin and Freda Sayler, Somerset.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of
  Christ.  Past board member of Somerset County Extension Service.  Past member
  of Sipesville Homemakers.  Past member of Somerset Grange.  Had worked at the
  former Berkey Locker Company, J.J. Newberry Co. and Somerset Trust Co.
  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday.  The Rev.
  Dr. Herbert R. Hicks officiating.  Interment, Edie Cemetery.  Contributions may
  be made to Edie Cemetery c/o Samuel Berkey, 2593 Keysertown Road, Somerset,
