  BERKEY
  
    William G. "Red" Berkey, 80, of Windber, formerly of Cairnbrook, died
  Nov. 24, 2002 at UPMC Lee Regional Hospital.  Born June 13, 1922, in
  Shanksville, son of Robert and Geneva (Kerr) Berkey.  Preceded in death by
  parents; first wife, the former Anna Casper; second wife, the former
  Mildred Buchanan, and a brother, Robert.  Survived by these daughters: 
  Helen Roberts of Oklahoma; Linda, married to Sanford Hartman and Sally
  married to Bill Pluta, all of Cairnbrook; 10 grandchildren and five
  great-grandchildren.  World War II Army veteran.  Retired from Bethlehem
  Steel, Johnstown.  Member of Unity United Church of Christ.  Family will
  receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Jay E. Shaffer
  officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.
