Berkley, 69, of Meyersdale RD 1 died March 1, 1994, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Feb. 27, 1925, in Elk Lick Township. A son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Ramon) Berkley. Also preceded in death by a brother, Ken, and a grandson Michael Benning. Survived by his wife, the former Miriam M. Bluebaugh; four sons: Keith of Boynton; Joseph and Jeffrey, both of Meyersdale; and Timothy of Hagerstown, Md.; a daughter, Gayle Benning of Meyersdale; two brothers: Aldin of Rockwood and Richard of Meyersdale; three sisters: Betty Hause of Hanover, Md.; Beulah Berkley and Donna Hoover, both of Meyersdale. Eight grandchildren. A member of St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ. A retired machinist for Miller Machine Works in Springs. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Carl Mitchell officiating.
