Berkley, 77, Brubaker Street, Somerset, passed away Feb. 1, 1999 at home. Born Aug. 8, 1921, in Indiana County, daughter of Thomas and Cora (Hoffman) Huston, Davidsville. Preceded in death by parents and husband of 53 years, Van Berkley, who passed away Jan. 26, 1996. Survived by son, Thomas S. Berkley, D.M.D., married to the former Debra Miller, Melbourne, Fla., and daughters, Barbara Majeroni, M.D.; married to Ronald Majeroni, of Williamsville, N.Y., and Cora Sue Ebbitt, M.B.A., of Indian Lake. Sister of Joan Rawls, married to Joseph Rawls, of Oriental, N.C. Also survived by grandchildren: Cpl. Timothy Majeroni, U.S. Marine Corps.; Heather Raymond, student at Temple University dental school, Philadelphia; Keith Majeroni, student at I.T.T., Buffalo, N.Y.; and Derek Ebbitt, a senior at Shanksville-Stonycreek High School; also three great-grandchildren. Graduated from Southmont High School. Attended Juniata College and graduated from Penn State University in 1942. Earned additional credits from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Substitute teacher in the Davidsville (Conemaugh Township) and Somerset school districts. Retired director of the Somerset County Children and Youth Services. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset. Her interests included golf, travel and cross-stitch. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Keith Fink officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
