  PEARL BERKLEY
  
    Mrs. Pearl Berkley, 75, Meyersdale, died Feb. 16, 1979, in Lee Hospital,
  Johnstown.  Born May 3, 1903 in Gormania, W. Va., she was a daughter of the
  late George and Mary Ellen (Baker) Baer.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and a son, Merle.  She
  is survived by these children:  George, Meyersdale; Lewis, Davidsville;
  Wayne, Meyersdale RD 4; Mary Ellen, wife of John N. Wilson, Pittsburgh;
  Jane, wife of Harold C. Werner, Meyersdale RD 1; Anna Catherine, wife of
  James H. Ash, Stoystown, RD 3; and 14 grandchildren.
    She was a sister of Anna Jane Austin, Westernport, Md.; and Ida Burke,
  Cumberland, Md.
    She was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church and the Senior
  Citizens Club.
    Friends were received in the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, until 1
  p.m. Sunday, when she was moved to the Grace Brethren Church to lie in
  state from 1-2 p.m.  Service was at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Davis
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
