Bertolini Sr., 84, of Ferrellton, died Dec. 9, 1997 at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1913, in Mizpah, N.J. Son of Fredrick M. and Clotilda (Vettori) Bertolini. Preceded in death by parents; wife Lydia E. (Soroka) on Dec. 19, 1996; sister, Pearl Boscola and brothers: Fred A. and Adolph. Survived by these children: Maurice J. Jr., married to former Myrna Mirasol, of Ferrellton, and Claudia S., wife of Joseph Kluh, of Port Tobacco, Md. Grandchildren: Albert Bertolini and Joseph and Thomas Kluh. Brother of Alma Boscola of Ridley Park, Pa.; Joseph, married to the former Mildred Wade, of Jenners. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, Somerset County Retired Teachers Association, Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association and Somerset Post 181, American Legion. Also member and past vice president of Boswell Area Historical Society. Former member of St. Stanislaus Church Finance Council and Our Lady of the Laurel Highlands Council 8908, K. of C. Army veteran of World War II having served with the Counterintelligence Corps and retired as a master sergeant with 21 years service. Public school teacher in the former J-B-J Joint School District for over 14 years. 1932 graduate of former Boswell High School and a 1936 graduate of West Chester University. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where Wake Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Church, Boswell, (formerly St. Stanislaus Church) Rev. Father Blas‚ Wegierski O.F.M. Conv., officiating.
