    Elmer J. Bertram, 86, of Somerset, formerly of Ferrellton, died Nov. 18,
  1998 at Easy Living Estates.  Born March 31, 1912, in East Carroll
  Township, Cambria County.  Son of James A. and Ella H. (Weymer) Bertram. 
  Preceded in death by parents.  Survived by several cousins, including Glen
  Emery of Liverpool, Pa.  Disabled Army Veteran of World War II.  Recipient
  of the Purple Heart.  Retired coal miner and school bus driver for the
  former J.B.J. Joint Schools.  45-year resident of Ferrellton.  Friends
  received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  The Rev. Father Martin Breski,
  O.F.M. Conv., officiating. Committal at St. Benedict's Cemetery,
  Carrolltown.  Graveside military rite by Menoher Post 15 VFW Ritual Team.
