"Stud" Bethel, 66, of Somerset RD 8, died June 10, 1986, at the Windber Hospital Hospice Unit. Born Nov. 5, 1919, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Albert and Bessie E. (Kimmel) Bethel. Preceded in death by a brother, Albert. Survived by two daughters: Ms. Carole J. Kelley, Somerset; and Mrs. John B. (Linda) Walker, Friedens RD 2; six grandchildren: Michele and Lisa Kelley, Wendy, Pamela, John Jr. and Mary Ann Walker. Brother of Robert C. Bethel, Latrobe; and Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Sarver, Somerset. A former meat cutter for the Edgewood I.G.A. Market. Member of American Legion Post 181 and VFW Post 554 of Somerset. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held Friday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
