Beynon, son of William and the late Mrs. Harriet Beynon was returned home to Salisbury last Friday and his body laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Sgt. Beynon was killed in action in the Battle of the Bulge on Christmas Day, 1944. He was a member of Company H, 319th Infantry, and his body was originally buried in Luxembourg. In addition to his father, he is survived by one sister and one brother, Mrs. S. C. Showalter of Salisbury and John Beynon of Scranton. Funeral services were conducted at the Thomas Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, with the Rev. Floyd H. Gotjen, pastor of the Salisbury Methodist Church, of which Sgt. Beynon was a member, officiating. Military honors were given him by the members of Walker Harris Post of the V.F.W. Interment was in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas.
