Va., formerly of Meyersdale, died Aug. 17, 2003 at Wishing Well Manor in Fairmont, W. Va. Born May 30, 1908, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John Wesley Hartley and Nellie (Gray) Hartley. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard M. Beynon in 1985 and by a sister, Evelyn E. Coder. She is survived by a sister, Jeanne H. Wetzel, Ft. Myers, Fla.; and nieces Alexis Francis, Anna Marie, Fla.; and Barbara Beech, Bridgeport, W.Va.; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. After attending Potomac State College in Keyser, W. Va.; California University of Pa. and Penn State University, Lois taught for 37 years in Somerset County. She was a member of the Meyersdale Methodist Church, and the following organizations: Somerset County Retired Public School Employees and the Pa. Association of School Retirees. At her request, no viewing and no visitation. Interment will be held in the Union Cemetery under the direction of M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. Daily American, August 21, 2003 [B1397]
