Bingman, 71, of West Main St., Somerset, died Aug. 23, 1979, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born July 7, 1908 at Acosta, son of the late Samuel and Nora (Witt) Bingman. He is survived by widow, the former Lena Bruner, and these children: Betty, wife of Samuel Kendall, Somerset RD 5; Robert Jr. of Meyersdale; William of Frostburg, Md.; Frank of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. John (Cora) Volpe, of Downey, Calif. Mrs. Havey (Bernice) Hevner of Belton, S.C.; Mrs. Elizabeth Yahnert of Brunswick, Ohio; Donald of North Evans, N.Y. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and teacher of Chapel Class, Somerset Lodge No. 358 F&AM, Altoona Consistory, Jaffa Temple, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and I.O.O.F. Founder of Bingman Packing Co., one of the founders of the DeMolay in Somerset. Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where service was conducted with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Masonic services were conducted in the funeral home.
