  BIRCHALL
  
    Fred Birchall, 82, 404 Center St. Boswell died March 1, 1995, at Maple
  Mountain Manor, Berlin.  Born Jan. 13, 1913, in Barnesboro.  Son of James
  and Mary Ann (Dukes) Birchall.  Preceded in death by parents, infant
  brother, brother Harry and sisters, Hilda Grassmyer and Stella Hill. 
  Survived by his wife, the former Katherine (Panion) Patterson; children: 
  Raymond Patterson Sr., Boswell; Sharon Holbert, Crossville, Tenn.; Harriet
  Galida, Uniontown, and Patricia Edwards, Columbia, Md.; grandchildren: 
  Cheri, Sean, Joseph, Randy, Angela and Raymond Jr., and several
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Bernard, Barnesboro; Evelyn Heineman,
  Lewistown, and Rev. Phillip, Franklinville, N. C.  Also numerous nieces and
  nephews.  Member of Boswell Post 461, American Legion; Hollsopple Post 8861,
  FVW; Jenner Rod and Gun club, S.O.A.R.  World War II Navy veteran.  Former
  steelworker and self-employed plumber for many years.  Also an avid
  golfer.  Observed 43rd wedding anniversary July 27, 1994.  Friends received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street,
  Boswell, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Rev. Father
  Harold N. Biller officiating.  Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Jenner Cross
  Roads.
