  BIRD
  
  Clyde R. Bird, 69, of 810 Horner St., Johnstown, died August 1, 1975, at
  Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born January 31, 1906, in Somerset County,
  son of Frank and Harriet (Koontz) Bird.  Preceded in death by parents and
  brother, Ross.  Survived by his wife, the former Margaret Weaver, at home;
  and two sons:  Robert, married to the former Jessie Thompson of Johnstown,
  and Donald, married to the former Barbara Poorbaugh of Hollsopple RD 2. 
  Also four grandchildren and two sisters, Sara Bird of Berlin and Mrs.
  Windfred Christner of Somerset.  Retired employe of the B&O Railroad with
  50 years service and president of Bird Electric and Supply Inc.  Member of
  First United Methodist Church, Johnstown.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m.
  Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, 514 Somerset St., Johnstown.  The Rev. J.
  Paul Ciampa.  Committal service 11:30 a.m. Monday at Somerset County
  Memorial park.
