She was born at Newburg, Preston County, W.Va., December 29, 1875, at her death being aged 66 years, 9 months and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Charles H. Bird and two children, Paul H. Bird of New York, N.Y., and Mrs. David Guhl of Connellsville, Pa.; also one sister, Mrs. Ira DeBerry of Terra Alta, Preston County, W.Va., and a number of friends from Terra Alta, W.Va., where she formerly lived. She was married to Charles H. Bird about 25 years ago. She belonged to the Eastern Star and Bachelor Brothers Club of Terra Alta. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of Addison and was a teacher of the Kum Join Us class of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She will be greatly missed in this community. Funeral services were held at 2:30, Tuesday, October 6, in the Methodist Episcopal Church, by her pastor, Rev. Mary Richey. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Members of the Kum Join Us class acted as flower girls, namely: Mrs. Edith Wright, Mrs. Mary Augustine, Mrs. Bess Williams, Mrs. Mae Turney, Mrs. Mame Wright, Mrs. Bessie Greaves, Mrs. Effie Nicklow and Mrs. Reba Shope. The pallbearers were Howard Wass, George Jeffreys, Elzy Glover, Troy Glass, Earl Bowser and William Fazee. Interment was made in the family lot in Addison Cemetery by funeral director Harry B.
