  PAUL L. BIRD
  
    Paul L. Bird, 59, of Berlin RD 3, died March 14, 1974, at home.  Born
  April 21, 1914, in Fort Hill, he was a son of Lloyd B. and Ethel (Leslie)
  Bird.  He was preceded in death by his mother in 1964.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Mary E. (Betty) Fogle; a son, Paul
  Jr., Berlin; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Young, of Ashland, Ohio; and
  his father, of Berlin RD 3.
    He was a member and deacon of Berlin Brethren Church, taught the
  Christian Pioneer Class in its Sunday School, was a past Sunday School
  superintendent, past moderator of Pennsylvania District Brethren Church,
  past treasurer of Pennsylvania District camp board, trustee of Ashland
  College, Director of Philson National Bank and was a member of Masonic
  Lodge F&AM 76 of Summersville, W. Va.
    He had been a contract carrier for the American Cyanamid Company and was
  presently a Hercules distributor of explosives and blasting supplies.
    Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Johnson and Son Funeral
  Home, Berlin, with Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.  Interment in Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.
