  BIRD
  
  Robert R. Bird, 55, Johnstown, died Jan. 4, 1987, at Lee Hospital,
  Johnstown.  Born Aug. 24, 1931, in Somerset, son of Clyde R. and Margaret
  Frances (Weaver) Bird.  Preceded in death by parents and wife, Jessie. 
  Survived by brother, Donald G., married to the former Barbara Poorbaugh,
  Hollsopple RD 3; nieces and nephews:  Gene R., Darlene, Robin and
  Melissa.  He was a life-member of First United Methodist Church, Vine
  Street, Johnstown, the Okinga Sunday School Class.  Retired Chief Petty
  Officer with the U.S. Navy, with 22 years service.  A Vietnam veteran.  No
  viewing.  Service at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers,
  donations may be made to the memorial fund of the First United Methodist
  Church, Johnstown.  Arrangements by George E. Mason Funeral Home,
  Davidsville.
