    John Bisel, 82, of Somerset RD 6 (Bakersville), died June 25, 1997 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born March 6, 1915 in Jenner Township (Gray), son of
  the late Edward and Anna (Ohler) Bisel.  Preceded in death by wife, Helen
  (Harrold) Hixon; brothers, Earl, Grant, Homer and Robert.  Survived by
  children, Dr. Robert Bisel, Warren Ohio; William Hixon, Bakersville;
  Beverly Lafferty, Bakersville; Shirley Fordyce, New Stanton; four
  grandchildren, Robert Lafferty, Ronald Fordyce, Michelle Gilbert, Amy
  Lowery; four great-grandchildren; brother, Frank, Gray; sister, Della Mae
  wife of Merle Speicher, Meyersdale; sister-in-law, Alda Mae Bisel, Boswell
  RD 2.  Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, UMW of A, retired coal miner,
  51-year member of Somerset Lodge 358, F and AM Williamsport Consistory 32
  degree Valley of Williamsport.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at
  1 p.m. Friday.  Roy A. Worsham officiating.  Interment Bakersville Cemetery.
