Bishing, aged 69 years, 8 months, died at her home, 200 Grant Street, Meyersdale, Wednesday, December 17, at 6:25 a.m., due to a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born at Coal Run, Elk Lick Twp., April 18, 1878, a daughter of William and Eliza (Stevanus) Haus, she was the mother of six children, two of whom survive. Her husband and four children - Edna, Mrs. Frank Belcher; Maggie, Mrs. James Walker; Della Florence and William E. Bishing preceded her in death. She left a daughter, Frieda, Mrs. Wilmer Smith; a son, Raymond Bishing; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly, as she was a kind and devoted mother and generous friend and neighbor. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 20, at 2:30 p.m., at her home, her pastor, Rev. Gerald Polman of the Main Street Brethren Church, Meyersdale officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Bittner, Walter Rickard, Alva Bittner, Eddie Combs, John Little and Earl Weimer. Floral tributes were many and beautiful.
