Born April 30, 1909, in Connellsville, daughter of the late Wallace and Mary Catherine (Gretz) Bishop. Also preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Desmond, and a brother, Wallace J. Bishop. Survived by a sister, Mrs. Harold W. "Hush," (Helen) Brunberg of Somerset. Veteran of Women's Army Corps, World War II, European Theatre. Retired employee of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services of Washington, D.C., retiring in 1981; and was a former employee for the Somerset County Commissioners. A 1927 graduate of Somerset High School and a 1928 graduate of Cambria Rowe Business School. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Member of VFW Post 554 and American Legion Post 181. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where Wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli , Celebrant. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
