Bishop, 70, Rockwood, died May 4, 1985, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born June 14, 1914, in Rockwood, daughter of Michael and Emma (Casebeer) Friedline. Survived by son, John Bishop, Somerset; three daughters: Mrs. Merle (Mildred) Pletcher, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Kelly, Rockwood; and Mrs. John (Mary Jane) Harding, Berlin; brother, John, Arizona; sister, Mrs. Myra Wooley, Somerset; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Walter Bishop, who died April 26, 1972; a daughter, Virginia; one brother and two sisters. Life-long member of Christ United Methodist Church, Rockwood; WBA Lodge and Rockwood Firemens' Auxiliary. Firemens' Auxiliary will conduct service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home. Friends will be received in William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Donald Krestar officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Robert H. Halverson supervising.
