Born March 5, 1902 in Austria, Europe, he is the son of the late Andrew and Katharina Bedzyk. Also preceded in death by his wife, Anna (Mauger) Bisick, who died Dec. 24, 2001; grandchildren: Gerald and Kathleen Baca; brothers, Joseph and Michael and a sister, Mary. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Helen Jean) Baca of Johnstown; son Paul A. "Junior," Baca, married to the former Lois Elaine Martin of Somerset; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Member of Faith Lutheran Church and the UMWA. He was a coal miner until a mining accident then he learned to repair shoes and had a shop on W. Patriot St. in Somerset. He lived many years on the Stutzmantown Road then on the Berlin Plank Road. The last four years he was a resident at East Living Estates in Somerset. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Diable officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
