BENJAMIN BITTINGER

Grantsville, Maryland

  Funeral services for Benjamin Bittinger, 71, were held Sunday afternoon.  He 
died Friday afternoon, Dec. 6, at the home of his only brother, Newton 
Bittinger, near here.  He had been ill for several months.  Born at Jennings, he 
was a son of John and Mary Spiker Bittinger, and had lived in this section all 
of his life.  He was never married and for some time had made his home with his 
brother and sister-in-law on their farm.  Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. 
Sally Hoover and Mrs. Jesse Bittinger, both of Jennings.
