Born March 19, 1888 in Elk Lick Township, she was a daughter of the late Eli Folk and Agnes (Garlitz) Folk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Bittinger in 1969 and by one daughter and two sons. She was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Weimer and Mrs. Laura Brown, both of Salisbury; Mrs. Viola Nyhart, Gambier, Ohio; Mrs. Eileen Mort, Springs; two sons, Clayton Bittinger and Raymond Bittinger, both of Millersport, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Yoder, Meyersdale; a brother, Robert E. Folk, Findlay, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home. Services were conducted at the Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Walter C. Otto officiating. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery. The Republic, November 10, 1983 [B1490]
