  MRS. EFFIE M. BITTINGER
  
    Mrs. Effie M. Bittinger, 89, of Grantsville Star Route, died Jan. 5,
  1973, in Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland, Md.
    Born in Garrett County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Stephen C.
  and Rebecca (Miller) Miller.
    She was a member of the Maple Grove church of the Brethren.
    Mrs. Bittinger is survived by a foster daughter, Mrs. Wilda Hoover,
  Salisbury RD 1; a number of grandchildren:  and two brothers, Arthur
  Miller, Uniontown; and Ernest Miller, Fairchance.
    Funeral service was held Monday afternoon in Newman Funeral Home,
  Grantsville, with Rev. Preston Miller officiating.  Interment in Maple
  Grove Cemetery.
