ELIZA JANE BITTINGER

Garrett County, Maryland

  Mrs. Eliza Jane (Hare) Bittinger, widow of the late Elijah Bittinger, who 
resided near Jennings, Md., died July 20, 1942, at the age of 79 years.
  She is survived by these children: Mrs. Addie Hetrick, Mrs. Edward Davis and 
Miss Katie Bittinger, all of Jefferson, Pa.; Mrs. Nancy Hoover, Salisbury, Pa., 
R.R. 1; Mrs. Lewis Bowser, Grantsville, Md., and Thomas Bittinger on the old 
home place at Jennings.  She is also survived by one brother and one sister, 
John and Lydia Hare, both at Jennings.
  Funeral services were conducted July 21, by Rev. V. R. Gillum, pastor of the 
Methodist Church at Grantsville, at the home of Thomas Bittinger, son of the 
deceased, at Jennings.
  Burial was on the old home farm, under the direction of mortician William 
Winterberg of Grantsville.
