  ELSIE M. BITTINGER
  
    Elsie M. Bittinger, 72, of Friendsville RD 1, Md.; formerly of
  Grantsville, Md., died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1986, at Memorial Hospital,
  Cumberland, Md.
    Born Aug. 18, 1914, in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late
  Silas and Mary Maude (Miller) Bittinger.
    She was a retired cook at the Penn Alps Restaurant in Grantsville.
    Survivors include two sons:  Wilbur Bittinger, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.;
  and Larry Bittinger, Friendsville; two daughters:  Mrs. Sally Cargill,
  Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Karen Beachy, of Grantsville; and Sherman Bittinger,
  Akron; three sisters:  Mrs. Alma Clegg and Mrs. Ellen Molnar, both of
  Akron; and Mrs. Stella Wiley, Salisbury; 12 grandchildren and three
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, where services were
  conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. Howard
  Broadwater.
    Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
