  LEWIS C. BITTINGER
  
    Lewis C. Bittinger, 81, of Star Route, Grantsville, Maryland, died
  Thursday, June 14, 1984, at Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born in Swanton, Maryland, he was a son of the late Herman Bittinger and
  Mary (Raley) Bittinger.  His wife the former Clara Orendorf, died in 1982.
    He was a retired farmer and lumberman.  He was a member of St. John's
  Lutheran Church, Meadow Mountain.
    Surviving are one brother, Russell Bittinger, and a sister, Mrs. Huldah
  Beeman, both of Grantsville.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Kenneth Zehr. 
  Interment, Glade Cemetery, at Accident, Maryland.
