  PETER BITTINGER
  
    Peter Bittinger, 81, formerly of Swanton, Md., died May 11, 1980 in
  the Dennett Road Manor, Oakland, Md.
    He was born in Swanton and was the son of the late James H.
  Bittinger and Nancy (Berkholder) Bittinger.  His wife, Millie M.
  (Pritts) died June 3, 1947.
    He was a member of the Oakland Elks.
    He is survived by one son, Raymond Bittinger, Swanton, Md., three
  sisters: 
    Mrs. Della Livengood, Springs; Mrs. Rosie Bittinger, Frostburg,
  Md.; and Mrs. Ruth Bittinger, Grantsville, Md.; five brothers: 
  Jessie Bittinger, Crellin; Amos Bittinger, Swanton; Lloyd Bittinger
  and Norman Bittinger both of Frostburg; Ralph Bittinger, Grantsville;
  two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Md.
    Services were conducted in the funeral home by the Rev. Edgar
  Miller and Rev. Alva Maust.  Interment will be in O'Brien Cemetery,
  Swanton.
