  RALPH BITTINGER
  
    Ralph Bittinger, 77, of RD 2, Grantsville, Md., died June 30, 1983
  at his residence.
    He was born in Swanton, Maryland, and was a son of the late James
  Bittinger and Nancy (Burkholder) Bittinger.
    He was a retired bulldozer operator for Harbison-Walker
  Refractories and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Meadow
  Mountain.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Elizabeth (Jones) Bittinger; one
  son, Hallon Bittinger, Hampstead; two daughters: Mrs. Elsie LaPaglia,
  Wadsworth, Ohio; Mrs. Nellie Wiley, Grantsville; a brother, Norman
  Bittinger, Frostburg; three sisters: Mrs. Della Livengood, Springs;
  Mrs. Rosie Bittinger, Frostburg; Mrs. Ruth Bittinger, Grantsville; 15
  grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three
  great-great-grandchildren.
    Friends were called at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted at the funeral home with the Rev. George
  Plants officiating. Interment was in the Bittinger family cemetery on
  Dry Run Road.
