  BITTINGER
  
    Sadie Alverta Bittinger, 71, of South Edgewood Ave., Somerset, died
  Feb. 1, 1978 in the Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 1, 1907
  in Grantsville, Md., a daughter of Harvey and Anna (Durst)
  Bittinger.  Preceded in death by her parents; and three daughters. 
  Survived by her husband, Ervin R., and these children: Ruby, wife of
  Leonard Day; and Ronald C. and Blaine, both of Somerset; and five
  grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and one
  brother: Mrs. Edison Durst, Mrs. Ernest Durst, Mrs. Irvin Hetrick and
  Simon Bittinger, all of Grantsville, Md.  Member of the Somerset
  Church of God and a retired employee of the Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Thursday in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where funeral services will be
  conducted Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Flavis L. Burroughs
  officiating.  Interment, Mizpah Cemetery.
