  MRS. HARVEY BITTINGER SR.
  
    Mrs. Viola O. Bittinger, 64, of Swanton RD 2, Md., died March 4,
  1979 at her home.
    Born Aug. 3, 1913 in Grantsville, Md., she was the daughter of the
  late Ervin R. Hare and Bertha V. (Broadwater) Hare.
    Surviving are her husband, Harvey Bittinger, Sr., two sons: Melvin
  C. Bittinger and Harvey Bittinger, Jr., both of Swanton; five
  sisters:  Mrs. Lula Bittinger, Lonaconing, Md.; Mrs. Florence
  Fleming, Deer Park, Md.; Mrs. Ruby Broadwater, Mrs. Blanche Spiker,
  both of Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Katherine Wilt, Canton, Ohio; two
  brothers:  Marshall Hare, Grantsville; Elroy Hare, Canton and one
  grandson.
    Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
