  WALTER L. BITTINGER
  
    Walter L. Bittinger, 79, of Grantsville RD 2, died March 24 at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born at Barton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Eliza
  (Broadwater) Bittinger.  Mr. Bittinger was a member of Jennings
  Church of God.
    Surviving are his widow, Cora (Meyers) Bittinger; a son, Sterl
  Bittinger, RD 2, Grantsville, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Butler,
  Crucible; and Mrs. Etheline Bittinger, RD 2, Grantsville, Md.; three
  brothers, Charles, Lisbon, Ohio; George, Cumberland, Md.; and Herman
  Bittinger, Frostburg, Md.; five sisters:  Mrs. Ethel Morrison,
  Uniontown; Mrs. Gladys McDowell, Calcutta, Ohio; Mrs. Annie
  Fazenbaker, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Mary Schreck, Fairchance; nine
  grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
    The body was at the Newman Funeral Home where services were
  conducted by Rev. George Plants.  Interment, Trinity Reformed
  Cemetery, New Germany.
