  ARTHUR M. BITTNER
  
    Arthur M. Bittner, 84, of 10 Roselawn Avenue, LaVale, Md., died
  Oct. 1, 1978 in Sacred Heart Hospital following a short illness.
    Born in Glencoe, he was a son of the late Conrad J. and Ellen
  (McLamore) Bittner.
    He was a retired Potomac Edison Company bus driver and a member of
  St. Mark's United Church of Christ.
    His wife, Clara Jane Bittner, died in 1972.  He was an army veteran
  of World War I.
    Surviving is one son, Dale S. Bittner, Mechanicsville, Md., and two
  granddaughters.
    Friends were received in the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary.
