  MRS. ARTHUR M. BITTNER
  
    Mrs. Clara Jane Bittner, 77, LaVale, Md., died Aug. 1, 1972.  A
  native of Glencoe, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth
  (Sumpstein) Leydig.
    She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cumberland,
  and of McKinley Chapter 12, OES.
    Surviving are her husband, Arthur M. Bittner; a son, Dale Bittner,
  Oxon Hill; two Grandchildren and a brother, Benjamin J. Leydig,
  Hyndman.
    Funeral arrangements are in charge of Hafer Chapel of the Hills
  Mortuary in Cumberland.
